As most know, TJ and I have it in for each other when it comes to NFL football. Last Sunday the feud began with Steelers and Broncos going head to head. With all the smack talk before and during the game, I am the one who ate my words by the end. By some miracle (Peyton Manning) the Broncos pulled off the win. I hate loosing to TJ, especially when my Steelers are involved. I am still sure we will take the Super Bowl, and TJ will be crying when the Broncos don't even make it to the playoffs. :)

Skim Boardin' & A Parade
Everytime we go to the beach, TJ sees something new he wants. A few Saturdays ago, he saw a bunch of guys doing.. drum roll... SKIM BOARDING. So, of course next time I went out I had to get him a skim board. Today, we went to the beach to try it out.
My cute little beach bum is all ready to take on skim boarding. It looks easier than it really is... Here is some footage of TJ attempting to ride the skim board. He actually got pretty good after a few hours of practicing.
Now- if you want to see him in action, check out this video!
Earlier this week we had heard there was going to be a parade in town for Aloha week. I was excited to go see it all week. I woke up early to get all ready so we could get in town and get a good spot to watch this parade. Well, TJ had something else in mind. He would not get ready to go because he wanted to watch College Football. By the time we got down to the parade we caught the last four floats. The floats I did get to see were pretty cool. Lots of Hawaiian music.

Once Again.
We can't stay away from Hapuna Beach. Every Saturday we get up and head over to Hapuna. There is something so relaxing about being on the beach. The sound of the ocean and the sun hitting you, it is the best feeling in the world. Today was the perfect day. There was no wind, plus it was the perfect temperature. I, once again, hung out on the beach. I just love knowing that I am getting a tan.
TJ, went snorkeling. This is his favorite thing to do. He followed a huge sea turtle for quite awhile. I did go into the water for a little while, where TJ taught me some snorkeling skills. It is a lot harder than it looks. I kept breathing in water, which made me feel like I was drowning. There is something about snorkeling that freaks me out. I would rather not know what I am swimming with. A few weeks ago TJ was snorkeling and to his surprise, a Manta Ray came swimming up with him. Ever since this experience, I am afraid that it is going to happen to me. So creepy.
After the beach we came home to a fun surprise. I guess it had been raining crazy hard all day where we live. We got out of the car and heard a noise that sounded like a roaring river. There isn't usually water around us, so of course, we had to go investigate. We went to where we found the backyard cave, and found this---
It obviously had to be raining really hard to create this. It was fun to see this in our backyard.
| TJ got my picture without me knowing. I hate being in pictures- but I should probably show that I went on this vacation too. |

Tastes of Hawaii
This will be the page that we will post our Hawaiian food experiences. We have noticed that the food here is not the greatest. It is extremely weird! But, we have to try it anyways! :)
#1. Musubi
I didn't have the guts to try this one, but TJ sure did. It is rice with spam wrapped in seaweed. Sound sick? I would have to agree! TJ gave it a 5 out of 10, but couldn't even finish it.

Just another Saturday at the beach
Every Saturday all TJ wants to do is go play at the beach. He is like my little 5 year-old who can't stay away from the water! We got him a snorkel a few weeks ago to keep him busy while I lay on the beach TRYING to get a tan. Today, happened to be a very special day at the beach. The waves were HUGE. We have not seen them this big so far. When they were crashing, they would go to TJs neck. It was insane. TJ had the time of his life and I was able to get some shots of the action! (I never timed it right to catch them at their prime)
While I was on the beach I had to play with my new camera. I got some pretty cool shots! :)
The pictures don't do the waves justice. The lifeguards starting putting signs around the beach warning everyone about the big waves. It was crazy! We hope more beach days are like this!
| Do you see TJs little head peaking out? He rode this wave! |
